The 20th International Symposium on Persistent Toxic Substances and Health (ISPTS-2026) will be hosted at the Belmeloro University Complex, part of the historic University of Bologna, the oldest university in continuous operation in the Western world.
The Belmeloro complex is situated within the university district, only a short walk from Bologna’s historic centre.
Participants will benefit from well-equipped auditoriums, comfortable meeting rooms and easy access to the cultural, architectural and culinary heritage that makes Bologna one of Italy’s most vibrant university cities.

How to get to the Venue
From Bologna Centrale Railway Station
The venue is 1.6 kilometers from Bologna Centrale railway station and can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes or by taxi or public transportation in 10-15 minutes.
Several city bus lines connect the station with the university area, including buses stopping near Porta San Vitale, just a short walk from the Belmeloro complex.
From Bologna Airport
Participants arriving at Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport can take the Marconi Express to Bologna Centrale railway station. From there, the venue can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes or by taxi or local buses in approximately 10 minutes.
Walking from the City Centre
The Belmeloro complex is located within walking distance of the historic centre. From Piazza Maggiore, the venue can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes.
